Traditional Knowledge for World Peace

The Council of World Elders brings together the foremost representatives of indigenous peoples who practise and pass on traditional knowledge for the sake of world peace and the healing of our planet.

Its members are outstanding and renowned figures who are committed to the restoration of nature and to a holistic, mindful approach to ourselves and all life on Earth. 

In 2009, Karin Tag founded the Council of World Elders, bringing together the finest representatives of indigenous peoples who apply and pass on their traditional knowledge for world peace and the healing of our planet. The Council of World Elders is a non-profit organisation dedicated exclusively to world peace, the preservation of cultures and environmental protection.

Head Office and Founding

The Council of World Elders was founded in 2009 by Karin Tag. The Council of World Elders’ head office is based in Niddatal, near Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The Council of World Elders currently comprises 9 members from 8 countries.

Objectives of the Council of World Elders

– Fostering unity and understanding among peoples.

– Creating a platform for messages to the nations through international congresses, lectures, yearbooks, films and publications.

– Supporting charitable local and global projects.

– Preserving and restoring cultural monuments.

– Supporting environmental protection.

– Promoting renewable energy projects.

– Establishing a museum housing significant works of art and 
a library containing teachings of wisdom, ancient knowledge and new 
research findings for the dissemination of knowledge and practical application.
